The Web Site Host That’s Best For You

Here’s How To Choose The Right Web Host that guarantees Your Web situation Stays Up And Running! Whether your focus is align marketing, activity marketing or sliver offbeat online business, now further than surpassingly – as the Internet grows by leaps and rationalization – the better of a reliable Web site hosting provider is absolutely critical. Cheapest … biggest … smartest … newest … oldest – with thousands of web site hosting companies vying for your attention, it’s easy to get confused. And, heaven forbid, if you make the wrong choice, it could cost you dearly in time, effort and money. Transferring a site from one host to another host is nightmarish at best – if it’s even do-able.

So … How do you pick the BEST host for your web site and online business needs — the very first time out? You can start by going through the following checklist:

[ ] What is the Initial Set-up Fee?

[ ] Is the cost of a domain name included?

[ ] How much bandwidth (data transfer) will you be allowed each month?

[ ] How much disk space (data storage) is provided?

[ ] What features are provided on the website control panel?

[ ] Are you provided with unlimited email accounts?

[ ] Do you get unlimited single and multiple sequential auto-responders?

[ ] What is the level of shopping cart compatibility?

[ ] Are website analysis tools provided?

[ ] Are tools provided for traffic analysis, tracking reports?

[ ] Are search engine submission tools provided? Ranking reports?

[ ] Do you have access to your own cgi-bin directory?

[ ] What web design tools are provided, as part of a complete web design capability?

[ ] Are web site design templates included?

[ ] Are there any ezine publication tools?

[ ] Is there a Spam check tool?

[ ] What kind of technical support is provided?

[ ] What security measures are in place? Offer your clients ease of mind with SSL (Secure Socket Layer) for selling from your site.

[ ] What is the speed of the web host’s Internet connections?

[ ] Is there 24-7 customer service? How does the company rate on support?

[ ] What is the hosting cost per month?

Pricing, of course, is a key consideration in choosing a web host that’s right for your needs. Just remember, as with everything else in life, you’re going to get what you pay for. There are 3 general categories of web hosting providers readily available, ranging from $0 to $75 per month. (More expensive solutions are for really big companies and beyond the scope of this article). Let’s take a look: FREE Web Hosting Tempting as it sounds, $0 cost hosting is best reserved for casual use – for a hobby or other personal purpose not related to making money on the Internet. Among the disadvantages: Low bandwidth, poor technical and customer support, excessive downtime, slow connection times, poor or no search engine positioning.

One of the most significant compromises you face is that 99% of free web hosts put their own ads on the homepage of your site, detracting from your business. It comes across as unprofessional and can quickly drive your prospects away. Also – extremely important for affiliate marketers – many affiliate programs will not accept people who are hosted on a free web service! The Search Engines may not accept rating your web site if it has a sub-domain name not as part of your own http://dot.com name, especially if the sub-domain is part of a free web host domain name. If, for any reason, you’re interested in going this route, do a search on Google.

For example, search for “Free web hosting” and discover more that 1.5 million references. For this reason, I can not pick any favorites, being unable to verify how reputable they are. Good luck with your search. Compare features, over and over. It is the best way to narrow the field of candidates. CHEAP Web Hosting Low cost web hosting will work for you if your budget is limited and you don’t want to spend money for larger disk space and other options that might not be necessary for you at the moment. Most providers in this category charge from $3 to $10 a month. Many of them do not offer you a Control Panel and a number of other useful features like tracking, auto-responders, sub domains, etc. If you don’t need the storage space or extra features, cheap web hosting is a workable solution, especially if your needs are not for e-business.

For some examples… nah, forget it, I don’t want to give you examples of what I don’t really believe in. PROFESSIONAL Web Hosting When you’re in it for the long haul, it really pays to think and acts like a Pro. As you continue to add content to your site, you will need more disk space. As your traffic increases, so does your need for more bandwidth. You’ll want that sophisticated control panel with all the bells and whistles — unlimited auto-responders, unlimited email addresses, unlimited sub domains, detailed website statistics, website promotional tools, topnotch support and so on. Prices for top level hosting range from $20 to $49 a month or more. Granted, it’s not free or cheap. But it’s the BEST choice for running a successful online business.

Time is money especially on the Internet, and you want a web host that has enough power to assure that your website will load fast. And before you sign on the dotted line … Don’t be shy about doing some double checking. Send some emails and see how quickly the company’s customer service responds. Get feedback from several existing customers on how they find the service. Due to the intense competition between web hosting companies, they are constantly adding more features and better tools to attract new customers. So take the time to do some comparing – don’t let anyone rush you. Visit some hosting reviews site and read some web hosting reviews to make sure you sign-up with a reputable web host that can support you and accommodate all your needs as your web business expands.

Before You See A Movie, Make Sure to do Your Research

The internet affords us many opportunities we simply didn’t have previously. It used to be that we had to wait for movie reviews in the newspaper or on Siskel & Ebert to know if a movie was worth seeing. People going to see a movie on opening weekend typically had no idea if a movie was going to be good or not. However, with movie ticket prices continually rising, it’s not always a good idea to take a chance on a movie without doing some research. In addition to being a total waste of time, a bad movie can be expensive when you factor in multiple tickets for a date or family members. Here are two great places to research a movie before you go out and see one.

1.) rottentomatoes.com- Simply the best site on the net for comparing what reviewers across the country are saying about a movie. The site posts an overall meter and scoring system so you can generally tell the consensus of a movie before digging in to all the different reviews. A very low score on the meter is a movie that is unlikely to be worth your time. A reviewer or two make have dissenting opinions but if they are generally all saying a movie stinks then it probably does.

2.) aintitcoolnews.com- This is a great site run by real movie geeks. They have information on movies that are still in production and interviews with stars who reveal a lot about the movie even before it’s made. The site is paradise for fan of older action and fantasy movies as well as having in depth coverage of the latest movies in the theater.

Training to Medical Code and Bill

There are many reasons to use the internet as the lifeblood of your earning career. Jobs can be slashed in a heartbeat and people without a trade to fall back on are left feeling as if they are back to square one. One way to take this power out of the hands of your employer is to insulate yourself against this happening. In fact, assume that it will happen and have an honest discussion  with yourself about what you would do if this were the case. Would you go back to school and learn something else, all the while incurring even more debt for an uncertain path? That sounds more like procrastination than a plan. Here are a couple of reasons to get into the medical billing field.

The demand is growing- People are still getting sick and th baby boomers are getting older. In short, there is absolutely no reason to believe that depite what sort of healthcare plans are bandied about, there will be coders needed. Large hospitals use coders but so do much smaller practices. Every healthcare professional who bills clients and insurance companies requires coders to get the work done and the bills paid.

You can train at home on your time- Indeed, there is no reason to quit your day job in order to become a medical coder. You can take your classes at night when you get home or in the morning while still in your pajamas. You will have access to professors and tremendous learning resources which will help you compete in the field in your bery first year.

Best of all is once you have the skills, you can work for multiple companies or just one.

Has Multimedia Technology Fueled Hatred In Cleveland?

Cleveland didn’t need any more reason to hate Lebron James. As he departed from the city that loved him and raised him for the warm, high profile setting of South Beach Miami, Cleveland Cavaliers fans had all the ire they needed.  Besides, he was also looking for chic Los Angeles apartments for when he played against the NBA teams there. After all, who could blame them; Lebron left them publicly, announcing his decision to the world first, on a prime time special. Cleveland fans had been through their fair share of tough sports times, but this might have stung the most.

Upon James’s arrival back in Cleveland to play against his old team, the setting was intense and braced for a war. Death threats had been made and fans were looking for blood more than they were looking for boos. What should have been a time to voice displeasure had become a time to try to damage and hurt James personally, through vicious signs and actions.

So. who or what was the reason for such a strong hate? The truth is it might have been social media that fueled the fire for LBJ’s return to his birthplace. Sites like YouTube were filled with viral videos of how James quit on the team in his last playoff series with Boston. There were fan made responses to his “What Should I Do?” Nike ad. In their version, they put up a graphic at the end that said “Quitness,” the same signs that were all over the Quicken Loans Arena.

The Internet, which was previously a place to look up simple searches for Los Angeles Apartments, was now being used to fuel the hatred of a city’s former beloved star. This was something that the rest of the nation had anticipated. The game came without incident to LBJ. They had increased security but it’s a wonder if that should have been necessary at all.

So Many Uses

There are so many uses for the internet. Many that I don’t even know about I am sure. When my cousin told me about how he uses the Internet to help him bet on sporting events I was really surprised. I guess I never really thought that anyone could help anyone else get ahead when it came to betting. Anyway, sports betting sites do exist.

I thought I had decided on a baby name, but now I am not so sure. I have done some searching on the internet and found hundreds of baby naming sites. I can’t believe the crazy names I can find online. I would love some suggestions from all of you as to what you think the baby’s name should be. I can’t promise I will consider any of them, but I will read them.

Oh, I did have one thought about considering your suggestions for baby names. If you can figure out a way to go through labor for me and make sure that I am the exact same size as I was before I was pregnant before I walk out of the hospital, I will let you name the baby whatever you want!

Do you know what other website would be nice? A site where I could order food, whatever food I want or am craving at the moment, and someone will pick it up and bring it to me. They would do it even if it was from three different restaurants!

I know this post was about random things, but I guess I have just run out of things to talk about today. I do look forward to reading your baby name suggestions! Please leave them in the comments. Maybe I will even get really brave and let readers vote on them!

Satellite Radio and Other Vehicle Options can Lead to Distracted Driving

If you own a vehicle that has satellite radio, a navigation system, a DVD player, or other kinds of things, it’s possible that they could distract you. Of course, a standard radio, or even a conversation with a passenger could distract you, too. The more things you have in your car, though, the more likely you are to be distracted by one or more of them. You shouldn’t have to drive all alone in silence, but it’s important that you’re careful. Satellite and networking capabilities have increased so much today that it’s not surprising that people have more distractions then they used to. It’s up to them to manage those distractions the right way.

To avoid distracted driving and other problems that come up when people overuse technology, be aware of your surroundings. Even if you’re not driving, too much technology can distract you from your duties at work or at home. That can lead to problems with your boss, your kids, and your spouse. That doesn’t mean that satellite and network communications aren’t good or that they should be avoided. They provide a lot of joy and they’re also helpful to many businesses and households in a multitude of ways. The key is to use them wisely.

Set a time limit for things like Internet use or for how often you text or do other technology-related things. Do the same for other people in your household. That way you aren’t so distracted, and you can also appreciate and enjoy the technology more when you do use it. You won’t get overwhelmed with it or feel like it’s controlling your life, and you can use it the way it was intended – as something that can help you and bring you enjoyment.

Gearing Up for the Holidays

BATH, ENGLAND - NOVEMBER 26: Nicolas Cage sta...

I love the holidays. When Thanksgiving Day arrives, I’m not drooling over the turkey so much as the other gatherings that are planned for the upcoming month. While some people get worn out, I feel completely energized. A crowded mall is my natural environment. A festival of lights is my church. I love everything about the holiday season. I even love it when a huge snow storm forces me to wake up at 5 a.m. to dig my car out before going to work . . . Wait, maybe I don’t like everything.

OK, but I certainly do like most things. Like presents. I love giving them and I love getting them. I could spend hours searching the Internet for great deals on the perfect gift. I recently found a pair of Dereon jeans for sale that someone is going to get this Christmas. Of course, I’m not sharing any more information than that. I don’t want to ruin the surprise!

In addition to getting and giving presents, I love the parties. Seeing people enjoy themselves is one of the true great pleasures in life. My cousin hosts a cookie party every year. It’s the greatest event and I look forward to it every year. Everyone chows down on cookies and other desserts. They also usually have a pretty impressive selection of wines.

This year, though, I’m most looking forward to spending a quiet morning at home with my family. As much as I love the holiday activities, I relish the idea of sitting with my own family and watching the Christmas lights. That small, private moment will certainly be something worth remembering. I think that one of the reasons I love the hectic holiday activity is that it settles into a few quiet moments when you can stop and reflect on how great life is.
